My Great Grandpa Legge’s violin

       So my Aunt has let me use his violin to learn with before I decide to purchase one. Unfortunately I never knew and never heard him play. It has a date of 1917 inside but we can’t confirm that is the year it was made. A few weeks ago we had the sound post reset, a new string put on and it tuned up by the music store in Urbana to start. It plays well for such an unskilled user. It defiantly takes a toll on the finger when you have never used them in such a fashion. I have been using the book Old-Time Fiddle for the complete Ignoramus and it has been super easy to follow and get started since I have no music background.
